From Forest to Factory
Every ILMA structure begins long before the first beam is cut. Our process starts in FSC® and PEFC™ certified forests, where sustainability and quality are guaranteed at the source. From there, in our Magliano Alpi plant, every phase, drying, machining, finishing, and logistics unfolds within ILMA’s fully controlled production chain. Every panel, connection, and frame follows a digitally managed workflow, ensuring absolute precision and quality.
At the core of ILMA Factory lies a powerful combination: high-tech automation and specialized human skill.
Our team of 40 professionals, including 12 in-house engineers and technicians, ensures every project is treated with industrial rigor and artisanal care. And we have a 50+ years track record to prove it. In over half a decade, we’ve manufactured and regenerated industrial-grade kits, luxury homes, churches, schools, glamping hubs, and one-of-a-kind wooden structures - from dome roofs to bridges.
In modern construction, time is the key to reduced manpower costs, decreased CO₂ emissions, lower environmental impact, and enhanced competitiveness, because every saved day is a step toward a smarter, greener construction future. At ILMA, thanks to our advanced DFAM process and off-site assembly, we can go from order to on-site in just 10 days.
Our dedicated R&D team works to continuously improve production methods, testing new structural systems, hybrid components, and thermal optimization techniques that make each generation of our buildings lighter, stronger, and more durable. As of today, ILMA offers double the required warranty on our wooden structures.
Every ILMA component is born digital. Our BIM-integrated production workflow ensures that every part is modeled, verified, and cross-checked before it even reaches the factory floor. This connection between data and machinery guarantees dimensional consistency and allows for seamless collaboration with architects and contractors. The result is a perfectly orchestrated production process, precise, repeatable, transparent, and predictable.
Once production is complete, every element is pre-assembled, numbered, and packed in order of installation, ready to ship as a turnkey construction kit. This process drastically reduces site time, errors, and waste, allowing builders to focus on assembly rather than problem-solving.
